Luis Alfredo Garavito is a Colombian serial killer who was convicted of raping, torturing, and murdering over 189 boys of the ages 6 to 16, in the 1990s. He has been described as the “world’s worst serial killer” by the Colombian media. He specifically targeted the downtrodden, homeless, and orphaned boys.
